Where Is PMC Ammo Made? Manufacturer and Origins

Published by AmmoHawk

PMC is a commercial ammunition brand of Poongsan, whose documented manufacturing operations include South Korea. Poongsan's own plant information connects its Busan operation to sporting ammunition exported under the PMC name. A US contact address on the brand's website answers a different question from where the ammunition is manufactured.

Sources checked October 27, 2026. This is a company and origin profile; it does not report product testing or establish the factory for every individual lot.

Follow the brand to the manufacturer

Poongsan identifies PMC as its commercial ammunition brand. Its corporate product information and plant descriptions provide a more useful starting point for tracing the manufacturer than a retailer's abbreviated product title. See Poongsan's sporting-ammunition information (Korean).

The relationship can be read as three separate facts: PMC is the consumer-facing brand; Poongsan identifies that brand as part of its ammunition business; and the company's plant documentation provides manufacturing-location evidence. Keeping those facts separate avoids treating a logo or office address as a complete origin record.

What the plant information establishes

Poongsan's official plant directory, published in Korean, describes the Busan operation as making sporting ammunition exported worldwide under the PMC brand. It also lists sporting ammunition among the products of its Angang operation. Those documented sites are in South Korea.

That supports a company-level account of PMC's Korean production. The directory is not a lot-by-lot traceability system. It does not identify which factory made a particular box on a retailer's shelf. For that more specific question, retain the product and lot identifiers and seek confirmation from the manufacturer.

Why the US address can be confusing

The PMC website lists a Houston, Texas contact address. A contact location can tell you where a business receives inquiries without identifying its factories. Brand offices, corporate owners, importers, and manufacturing sites can all occupy different places.

The practical question is the scope of the evidence: does a source identify a company office, a production facility, a product line, or a specific package? A clear answer should name which of those it establishes.

Check the product line as well as the brand

PMC's About page describes its supplier's integrated manufacturing operations. The same page separately identifies Sierra projectiles in its X-TAC Match .223 and .308 lines. That distinction matters when reading broad statements about components: company-level descriptions should not be stretched into a claim that every component of every product has the same source.

Manufacturing origin is also separate from performance. This profile does not establish reliability, accuracy, or suitability for a particular use. Those questions require evidence specific to the product and application.

Connect the research to a listing

AmmoHawk's PMC 9mm Luger Battle Pack product page is one place to inspect a tracked listing. Read its package quantity and the current retailer information; the offer can change or become unavailable. For broader context, open the 9mm price page.

When researching another brand, repeat the same process: identify the manufacturer, find a primary location source, check the product-line scope, and keep any uncertainty visible. It produces a more useful answer than treating the brand's mailing address as the factory.
